Wi-Fi allows you to connect wirelessly to the internet on your laptop or PDA
through radio waves in designated areas called Wi-Fi hotspots. If you've ever been stuck somewhere outside the office with your laptop but no access to the internet, you'll know how frustrating it is!

How does Wi-Fi work?
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
- You'll need a Wi-Fi ready Laptop or PDA. If yours doesn't have a Wi-Fi card, you can buy one at most PC stores.
- Get yourself an iBurst package (if you don't already have one) and download the Connection Manager to run iBurst Wi-Fi from your laptop or PDA. You'll also need to buy a voucher to get started. Buy these through MyBurst or your connection manager.
- Find yourself a Wi-Fi hotspot. Hotspots are areas that have access to the Wi-Fi network. You'll find in them in airports, coffee shops, hotels, shopping centres – all over the place (650 local and 110 000
international hotspots including Wireless G hotspots !) - Please note that the only way to access a WirelessG hotspot is by using the Connection Manager. Follow these simple steps to connect: download the connection manager, install the connection manager and connect!
- The Connection Manager is only compatible with Microsoft Windows. Mac and Linux are not supported

How much will it cost me?
The subscription will be free to iBurst subscribers – all you'll need to pay for
is the data you use. This is charged at a flat rate – locally the rate is R0.86 per meg, and R1.50 per minute for international – you pay-as-you-go so you'll know exactly how much you're spending!
