iBurst REVEALS TOP-UP TARIFFS
iBurst revealed out-of-bundle data rates lodged with ICASA today. The new tariffs are expected to be approved in the next few days. iBurst’s data top-up product, Bandwidth Booster, can be purchased by subscribers should they exceed their monthly data allocations.
Subscribers on iBurst’s “Play” packages will be able to buy 500 megabytes of out-of-bundle data for R189 and 1 000 megabytes of out-of-bundle data for R249. This means the price per out-of-bundle megabyte on these packages is 38 cents and 25 cents per megabyte, respectively.
Subscribers on iBurst’s “Pro” packages will be able to buy 1 000 megabytes of out-of-bundle data for R199 and 3 000 megabytes of out-of-bundle data for R499. This means the price per out-of-bundle megabyte on these packages is 20 cents and 17 cents per megabyte, respectively.
“From 1 April, fewer subscribers will exceed their data allocations because all new and existing customers will receive an additional 200 megabytes of data on ‘Play‘ packages and 500 megabytes on ‘Pro’ packages. iBurst is also the only wireless broadband provider to allow subscribers to carry over unused data to the following month, said Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst.
The above notwithstanding, iBurst Bandwidth Booster caters to the needs of broadband users who might occasionally have unexpectedly high broadband demands.
iBurst’s wireless broadband service, which will cost as little as 12 cents a megabyte from 1 April, is up to three times faster than 3G and 17 times faster than dial-up. iBurst’s most affordable package from April is “Play Intro” offering 200 megabytes of data at R149 per month.
iBurst continues to lead the way by offering unrestricted VOIP, data-carryover, month-to-month contracts and great customer service.
